Macedonian Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi has told MIA he would follow the decision of the DUI-nominated ministers and withdraw from the post if VMRO-DPMNE voted for the constitutional amendments.
Consequently, if everyone is leaving, why would I insist on staying, said Xhaferi.
Regarding the general elections, he says that his personal position is that there should be elections in a regular term and there is no reason why it should not be so, while regarding whether elections in a shorter time would help DUI to manage to keep as many votes as possible, he says that the party authorities need to make calculations for that.
