I have spoken about the guarantees that we will demand from the European institutions, these are guarantees with which those European institutions will clearly and unequivocally confirm the Macedonian centuries-old identity, history, culture, customs and what is most important, the Macedonian language, said VMRO-DPMNE party leader HristijanMickoski on Friday.
The opposition leader added that even if Macedonia fulfills Bulgaria’s demands, no one guarantees that the country will become a member of the European Union, adding that many representatives of the international community came to the country to tell us exactly that and pointed to the Republic of Turkey as an example, which is economically much more powerful than us and has been negotiating with the EU for decades and is still far from its full membership.
