The number of first graders enrolled in the new school year in the 10 primary schools in Prilep has decreased by 100. Before the start of the new school year, the five secondary and ten primary schools in Prilep are ready, but the teachers and pupils will manage as best they can without all the textbooks.

One of the primary schools in the city center enrolled an average of 12 children per class. In six months in the previous school year, parents pulled 300 pupils out of school and left the country. The situation of parents taking their children out of school and going abroad occurs in all stages of the educational process from the first grade to the fourth year of secondary education.
