The Oncology Clinic sabotaged the already acquired system for monitoring and safe storage of doses. The KATO system was supposed to put an end to the manual dosing system, and the idea was to prevent the loss of doses, to ensure accurate dosing without error and safe storage of cytostatics, reports SlobodenPechat.

With the KATO system, it was impossible to steal a cytostatic or reduce someone’s dose, either by theft or by mistake. But after only six months after this system was purchased, in 2017, the then-new director Nino Vasev put it out of use.
