The President of Serbia AleksandarVučićat the Brdo-Brioni summit in Skopje said that the European future of the region was discussed at that meeting, for which some have more enthusiasm, while others have less. He said that the day was spent in a constructive discussion and that the declaration states that membership of the region in the EU is needed as soon as possible, and by 2030 at the latest.

“It’s wishful thinking, but who am I to destroy the optimism and reduce the ambition of some others. Great if that’s the case, but I’m not sure,” said Vučić.

The Serbian head of state explained that the meeting discussed what the region could request from the EU, from various roaming initiatives for establishing green lines and a common market.
