The head of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) Biljana Ivanovska said in the political TV show 24 Analysis that this law was adopted with a committee discussion and a plenary session in the Parliament in one day.
“It is the lightning speed of adopting a law after a fast-track procedure. When we were preparing the national strategy, we pointed out that the adoption of laws by abbreviated procedure represents a risk of corruption and we gave a recommendation to reduce such way of adoption of laws. The MPs voted for that strategy and accepted it. We are once again faced with such a situation of passing a law that did not allow a public debate and experts to express their opinion, and no analysis was made that this law will bring,” said Ivanovska.
