The remarks and comments by the United States and the European Union regarding the adopted amendments to the Criminal Code are of essential importance, said Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance policies, Slavica Grkovska, on Wednesday.

“I said that the article on extended confiscation is an article that came from my Office. While for the rest of the amendments I voiced my reservations. The United States is our strategic partner and for me their comments and remarks on these amendments will be essential, as well as the remarks of the EU,” said Grkovska in a reply to a media question regarding U.S. Ambassador Angela Aggeler’s statement that the U.S. administration will review the amendments to the Criminal Code.
