It is important for Macedonian farmers to feed Macedonia, and not to import food for 700 million euros every year, stressed VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Monday.
“SDS and DUI destroyed agriculture, seven years they have been in power, seven years Macedonia is sinking. More than 700 million euros of Macedonian foreign currency was spent on food imports in 2022 alone. Instead of that money staying in the country and being paid to Macedonian farmers and growers, it ended up outside. With SDS and DUI’s it can only be worse. If in 2013-2014 there were 100,000 registered farmers, now there are 60,000,” added the largest opposition party.
