The married couple who remained stuck in the Gaza Strip has been safely evacuated and is currently in Cairo.
“Great news just in from Cairo and Tel Aviv! The married couple – the remaining two of our citizens who were stranded in Gaza, has been evacuated. They are currently safe, temporary staying in Cairo and will soon be headed home,” Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani posted on Facebook.
Osmani extended gratitude for the professionalism of the chargés d’affaires of the embassies in Tel Aviv and Cairo, Maciej Kaczorowski and Elma Altorok, adding that they made extraordinary efforts in constant communication with the competent institutions of Egypt and Israel.
