The VMRO-DPMNE Executive Committee held a session Tuesday evening, after the leaders’ meeting at which the dates for combined presidential and parliamentary elections were determined, April 24 and May 8.
The deputy leader of the party, Aleksandar Nikoloski, emphasized that the combined elections were also their request, because it is a logical outcome of things, especially since in this way the costs of maintaining them are reduced, the time during which the economy will be frozen is also shortened, and the citizens they will be able to decide on the election of the government and prime minister and president in one election cycle.
The VMRO-DPMNE executive committee made a decision on the formation of the Republican Election Headquarters (REH), which will be headed by the VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, and his deputy will be the general secretary Gjorgija Sajkoski. At the same time, the preparations for the election of the VMRO-DPMNE candidate for the President of the Republic of Macedonia have also begun, whereby the election will take place at the Electoral Convention that will take place on March 2, 2024 in Skopje,” Nikoloski noted.
The opposition high official pointed out that they expect a historically great victory for both the presidential elections and the parliamentary elections, after which, as he said, changes will take place in Macedonia and this corruption will be put to an end, as well as the sinking of the economy.
