The Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojchevska dismissed the acting director of the Skopje Conservation Center Kostantin Dimitrovski who, along with several other persons, was arrested under suspicion of the demolition of the hotel “Shar An” in the Old Skopje Bazaar, which has been declared a cultural heritage.
The Ministry of Culture confirmed that the director was dismissed and that a new acting director was appointed to take his place. The action of the PPO for organized crime and corruption and the Ministry of Interior was carried out on Wednesday and in it a group of nine people were arrested who, in violation of several laws, demolished the building which is considered a cultural heritage and is protected by law.
