I have not spoken with the party leader Hristijan Mickoski on this topic, and in that sense the answer is that I have not formally received an offer from him or any other person in the leadership of the party, related to my possible nomination to be VMRO-DPMNE candidate for President of the Republic of Macedonia in the upcoming presidential elections, said university professor Aleksandar Spasenovski in an interview with TV Alfa when asked if he received any offer from VMRO-DPMNE for being their presidential candidate.
Spasenovski emphasized that he learned about the fact that his name is circulating and is part of the VMRO-DPMNE polls from conversations with friends who were polled and added that he is grateful that someone remembered and appreciated his public work in the past years.
“For me, this is a personal satisfaction in two parts. First, regarding what personal views I have advocated as a law faculty professor on political issues, because that is what I teach at the faculty and for that I have been a guest on the shows most of the time. But on the other hand, it represents a kind of satisfaction for me, and in that sense I am grateful that someone, without me suggesting or lobbying or influencing against anything, decided to consider me among other things as a possible candidate for the head of the state,” said Spasenovski.
