There are companies interested in the Greece-MK gas pipeline construction, says Bekteshi

There are many companies interested in the construction of the gas interconnector that will connect North Macedonia with Greece, says Macedonian Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi in an interview with RFE/RL.

The minister adds that it is planned to additionally use a public-private partnership model in TPP Oslomej where a hot water network could be developed for Kichevo, similar to Skopje.

“In the part of Negotino, there is a plan to convert it into a gas and hydrogen plant and we as a ministry have already made a decision to submit a letter of interest to our neighboring countries, because we anticipate having a large capacity with over 600 MW hours where our neighbors especially from the Western Balkans,” said Minister Bekteshi.
