According to Serbian media, the Serbian rock musician Gjorge Nikolic, better known as Gjorge David, who was returning from Gevgelija, was involved in the tragic collision that took place on the main road from Kumanovo to the Tabanovce border crossing with Serbia on Saturday night. So far, there is no official confirmation that the musician himself is injured.
According to the initial findings of the public prosecutor’s office, the initial collision between two cars, a “Volkswagen Polo” with Kumanovo and a “Volkswagen Golf” with Skopje registration plates, was caused when the driver of one of the cars entered the highway in an illegal direction.
After that initial crash, the passenger from the Kumanovo vehicle got out of the car and at that moment an Opel Insignia car with Serbian license plates ran into her. The 49-year-old woman suffered serious injuries from the impact, from which she died.
An order was issued for the autopsy of the deceased, as well as for the examination of blood and urine samples of the other participants who are currently hospitalized with minor injuries.
