“In practice, this means that citizens will not be able to take prescription medicine on the first of February, payments from the Health Insurance Fund (HIF)will not be able to be made to citizens who used sick leave, reimbursements for medicines and the like will not be paid. With this second collapse of the HIF, the health system in the country is at risk. In this case, the citizens suffer, and so do the HIF employees, whose salaries they plan to reduce by 21 percent,” reads the press release of the main opposition party.
