The Albanian terrorist Abdul Rahman Bela, better known as Khaled al-Albani, was killed in northern Syria. The terrorist was killed by a sniper of the Syrian Arab Army in the Idlib Governorate.
Bela was one of the commanders of the Albanian group, which fought against the Syrian army in the north of the country.
Bela came to Syria from Macedonia in 2013 and joined the Albanian group founded by Abu Qatada al-Albani.
He first fought for the Islamic State, then defected to the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham task force, an Islamist group that was created by “rebranding” al-Nusra.
Idlib Governorate is located in northwestern Syria, and is the last major refuge of jihadist groups in Syria.
