According to its Rules of Procedure, the State Election Commission (SEC) can function with six members, said the president of the Commission, Aleksandar Dashtevski, replying to media questions on Tuesday after the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between SEC and MIA.
“The SEC can function with six members because a majority of the votes in the SEC is required, and according to the Rules we can function with six members quite solidly. Of course, it would be beneficial for us if the seventh member is elected, and I leave that to the competent authorities, that is, to the Parliament of the Republic of N. Macedonia. We cannot interfere in that,” said Dashtev
