Pensions have been adjusted to rise by around five percent as of March 1, caretaker Minister of Labor and Social Policy GjokoVelkovski told reporters at a press briefing on Wednesday.

All data from statistics have been collected, the calculation has already been made. I wouldn’t call it an increase, because the 5% increase in pensions that should be paid on Friday will be as a supplement to their pensions, said the caretaker minister. Pensions are set to be adjusted twice a year, every March and September, In accordance with the new methodology based on State Statistics Office data on the cost of living and the average salary.
