A bear attacked a Danish tourist who, in the company of a group of skiers, participated in the so-called “free ride” skiing (off-piste) near Popova Shapka.
As the Crisis Management Center (CMC) informs, the attack took place around 10:45 a.m. in the Jelak area of Shar Mountain.
The bear injured the skier’s legs by biting and scratching. The emergency medical team from Tetovo transported the injured skier to the Tetovo hospital, where the severity of the injuries will be further determined, the CMC said.
The CMC director Stojanche Angelov headed to Popova Shapka from where he will give a video statement detailing the attack.
