Employees of North Macedonia’s Post protested on Monday over untimely payment of the February wages. The post’s union leader Boro Veligdenov pointed out that the protest reflects employees’ concerns over the state of affairs in the enterprise, its future, as well as job retention.  According to Veligdenov, the employer has not fulfilled the legal obligation to pay wages within the legally defined period.

He said the employees fear that there will be no regular payment of wages in the coming period due to the poor financial situation of the National Post.

He stressed that the protest will continue unless the demands are met, while the trade union organizations of the National Post will launch a strike procedure in order to protect workers’ rights.
