The Kumanovo Basic Court has scheduled the trial of the presidential candidate and current mayor of Kumanovo, MaksimDimitrievski, for April 2, on charges of abuse of office.
The first hearing is scheduled for two days before the beginning of the election campaign.
Dimitrievski, who is also the leader of the ZNAM Movement, is charged following a criminal complaint filed by two Kumanovo businessmen, because he did not sign the request for utilities for the construction of buildings in the center of Kumanovo within the legal deadline.
Both companies reported that in this way the Kumanovomayor caused them damage of around 55,000 euros.
