The consumer basket increased in just one month with an additional MKD 1500, or a family of four needs MKD 59,000 just to feed themselves for one month. The government of SDS and DUI destroyed the standard of living of the citizens. In order to survive from month to month, a family needs three minimum wages, said VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Thursday.
“Wages are much lower than what a consumer basket amounts to. With the catastrophic policies of the SDS and DUI government, the prices of basic food products have increased, and the citizens are additionally faced with new price shocks every day. Their mouths are full of bragging that they have increased salaries and pensions, but the real situation is that purchasing power has decreased. SDS and DUI made life more expensive in Macedonia. The salaries and pensions of the citizens are low compared to their monthly expenses,” reads the opposition party’s press release.
“And while SDS brags about the increased salaries, more than 600,000 of our fellow citizens live on 150 denars a day, and Kovachevski, who takes a 2500 euro appanage, can spend 83 euros a day,” added the main opposition party.
