SEC confirms presidential candidates, OSCE/ODIHR opens observation mission

The State Election Commission (SEC) confirmed the nominations of the seven presidential candidates for the elections on April 24. The ordinal number of the candidates on the ballot will be known no later than March 28, when the SEC draw should take place.

Incumbent President Stevo Pendarovski, backed by SDSM and the coalition, will run for a second presidential term, while his opponents are Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, backed by VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition, Maksim Dimitrievski from the ZNAM movement, Biljana Vankovska-Cvetkovska backed by Levica, Bujar Osmani from the ranks of DUI, Stevcho Jakimovski from the ranks of GROM and Arben Taravari from the Albanian opposition coalition Worth It.

The election campaign for the presidential elections on April 24 this year kicks off on April 4 at 00:00 and will last until midnight on April 22.
