The Macedonian economy is in a bad, desperate and dangerous condition. Bad because we have a very low economic growth, that means there are no conditions for new jobs, for higher salaries, for higher pensions…, desperate because after two years we have a more expensive life by about 25 percent and if I compare in relation to the COVID-19 crisis 30 percent with salary growth that is not everywhere equal by sector follows inflation, and dangerous because we have a budget deficit of 62 percent of GDP according to the latest data, said MajaKadievskaVojnovikj, a member of the VMRO-DPMNE Executive Committee, in a an interview with MRT.
KadievskaVojnovikj pointed out that the public debt amounts to 8.5 billion euros.
“Budget deficit for 2023 of 4.9 percent, most likely this year, a huge budget deficit as the year started. The public debt is 8.5 billion euros, exceeding the critical and legal limit set by the new budget law,”said the opposition official.
