Journalist FurkanSaliu was arrested Sunday by the Skopje police at a football match, police sources told NetPress.
According to initial information Saliu was detained after allegedly attacked a police officer – a member of the Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU). After the incident, the police searched Saliu and his vehicle, during which they found a gun in his backpack.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed the news that the journalist FurkanSaliu was arrested for assaulting police officers, and during a search of his vehicle, a gun was found in his possession.
