1,814, 317 citizens eligible to vote in presidential elections

A total of 1,814,317 citizens are eligible to vote at the April 24 presidential elections.

According to the State Election Commission (SEC), 1,713,758 voters are included in the Electoral Roll within the country, 95,116 voters are temporarily working or residing abroad, while 2,147 are in prison or detention.

A separate excerpt of the Electoral Roll includes nationals who have applied to vote in diplomatic-consular offices worldwide (2,569), people in institutions for out-of-family care (534) and internally displaced persons (2).

The vote for Wednesday’s presidential elections will be administered in 3,480 polling stations nationwide.
