The deadline for filing complaints over voting process expires Friday at 7 p.m., and until midnight the deadline for complaints to the summarization of the results, after which the State Election Commission (SEC) has to make a decision within 72 hours.
As the SEC president Aleksandar Dashtevskii said, if they are not satisfied with the decision, the candidates have the right to file a complaint with the Administrative Court, which, in turn, should decide within 48 hours after receiving it.
The presidential candidates of VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM, who won the most votes according to the initial official results, continue the race in the second round of the presidential elections, which will be held on May 8, combined with the parliamentary elections.
The initial official results announced by the SEC show that over 900,000 citizens practiced their right to vote, that is, the turnout was 49.93 percent.
