The average monthly net wage paid per employee in March 2024 was MKD 40,496 up by 16 percent compared to March 2023, said the State Statistics Office (SSO) on Wednesday.
This increase is due, above all, to the increase in the average monthly paid net salary per employee in the sectors: Supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (21.9%), Public Administration and Defense; mandatory social insurance (21.3 %) and Education (20.5 %).
An increase in the average monthly paid net salary per employee, compared to the previous month, was recorded in the sectors: Mining and quarrying (7.8 %), Accommodation facilities and food service activities (7.3 %) and Processing industry (6.2 %).
The average monthly gross salary paid, on the other hand, in March 2024, amounted to MKD 60,803.
