Police foil smuggling of large amount of products from Kosovo to Macedonia through Tanushevci

On May 29, 2024 at 8 a.m. at a place called Trakaljachko maalo in the village of Tanushevci, Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Cross-Border Crime and Migration Department and from the Police Station for Border Surveillance Tanushevci at the Regional Center for Border Affairs North, after previously obtained information and in cooperation with the Kosovo border police, prevented the smuggling of consumer goods from Kosovo to the Republic of N. Macedonia.
The police officers stopped two trucks, after which the drivers fled the scene.
During the inspection of the Volkswagen truck with Swedish registration plates, a large amount of consumer goods was found, while the Mercedes truck without registration plates was found to be empty.
