SDSM launches procedure for election of new leader – Petrovska announces her nomination


The procedure for extraordinary leadership elections begins Friday at the SDSM headquarters. The party has scheduled a congress for June 9, during which the party will analyze the reasons for the result at the double elections, while the leadership elections will take place on June 30.

The current Member of Parliament and former Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska confirmed that she will run for the new party leader of SDSM.

In addition to Petrovska, the current director of the Directorate for Technological-Industrial Development Zones (TIDZ) Jovan Despotovski and former minister of health and current MP Venko Filipche, also announced their nominations for SDSM party leader.
