It is unclear how the expropriation of the Kichevo-Ohrid highway section has not been resolved for 12 years, and the previous government is directly responsible for that. We have detected three main problems and in this summer period we will devote ourselves as much as possible to solving them in order to finally postpone the construction of this highway section, stated Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski in an interview with TV Alfa.
“I plan to spend most of my working time solving the issues with the Kichevo-Ohrid highway section and the construction of Corridor VIII highways. I think that already in the fall I will present good news and the projects will go in the desired direction. I have four priorities for this summer and I have already said that they are the start of the Kichevo-Ohrid construction, the construction of the highway sections through Bechtel, the railway and the stabilization and reorganization of the Railway. At the same time, we are working on strong support for municipalities with 100 million euros. We will have a construction boom in the municipalities, the citizens need streets, roads, water pipes, sewers. I will not allow Kichevo-Ohrid to happen again with any other infrastructure project,” Minister Nikoloski pointed out.
