Macedonian Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski on Tuesday visited the Department of Civil Affairs, where a working meeting was held with Assistant Minister Jovan Altandziev, regarding the competences of the Department.
As Minister Toshkovski said in a Facebook post, in general, chaos and carelessness from the previous management was established, both in relation to citizens and in relation to employees.
“We have established that the situation with the issuance of personal documents is stabilizing. We expect in a month that the issuance of documents will return to the legal deadlines. We will increase the capacities in the processing of passport requests submitted to the DCM, in order for the Macedonian diaspora to receive a travel document as soon as possible. We are providing new quantities of forms for personal documents that will meet the needs for the coming period,” Toshkovski said in the social media post.
