Project worth EUR 250 million for infrastructure and capital projects for development of municipalities in the country kicks off

The Government will allocate 250 million euros for infrastructure and capital projects for the development of municipalities and improvement of citizens’ lives. For this purpose, the public call for applications of municipalities has been published, based on previously determined criteria and procedures of the Ministry of Transport, Environment and Spatial Planning, Education and Science, Social Policy, Demography and Youth, Sports and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The purpose of the call is to allocate funds to the municipalities for projects whose implementation will contribute to the improvement of the infrastructure at the local level with a direct impact on increasing economic growth, development in the municipalities and increasing the quality of life of the citizens, said Macedonian Prime Minister HristijanMickoski on Thursday.

“The municipalities, the municipalities in the city of Skopje and the city of Skopje have the right to submit applications and project proposals. I am urging as many municipalities as possible, regardless of the mayors’ political affiliation, to participate in this public call,” said Mickoski.
