SCPC asks PPO to prosecute Lukarevska for damages worth EUR 292,000 due to new contracts during election period

The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) submitted an initiative to the Prosecutor’s Office for the criminal prosecution of SanjaLukarevska, former director of the Public Revenue Office (PRO), for negligent work in the service. This is due to the decision of ex-director Lukarevska to cancel the employment contracts as a group and conclude new contracts during the election period for higher wages.

The State Labor Inspectorate, which made a decision to cancel the contracts of 129 employees of the Public Revenue Office, which were signed on the basis of irregular work regulations.

With this, the PRO budget was damaged by around 292 thousand euros.

The current Public Revenue Office director Elena Petrovawarned that after the decision of the Labor Inspectorate, the employees will have to return the money and that the “least painful solution” is being sought.
