Macedonia’s Crisis Management Center (CMC) said early on Friday that 23 fires were registered nationwide over the past day, 20 of which have been extinguished.
The fire is active in the Stojanova Naselba area in the village of Greshnica in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod, where low vegetation, degraded forest and shrubs are burning.
The fire at the landfill in Delchevo and the fire in the Gostivar village of Patalista, where low vegetation and low-stemmed forest are affected, are under control.
According to the CMC report, 20 fires in open areas have been extinguished:
Municipality of Bosilovo: village of Monospitovo (low vegetation)
Municipality of Valandovo: village of Sevenendekli (mixed forest)
Bogdanci Municipality: between the villages of Selimli and Stojakovo (illegal landfill)
Gostivar Municipality: along the Gostivar – Tetovo highway (low vegetation)
Zhelino Municipality: village of Falishte (low vegetation)
Brvenica Municipality: village of Tenovo (low vegetation)
Gazi Baba Municipality: street Pero Nakov (low vegetation)
Gazi Baba Municipality: settlement of Goce Delchev (low vegetation)
Negotino Municipality: village of Dubrovo (low vegetation)
Saraj Municipality: village of Kondovo (low vegetation)
Karbinci Municipality: village of Krupishte (stubble)
Shtip Municipality: village of Karaorman (landfill)
Cheshinovo-Obleshevo Municipality: village of Ularci (stubble)
