Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski, commenting on the Infectious Diseases Commission’s recommendation to impose a nationwide curfew, which is to be reviewed at Tuesday’s session of the Government, pointed out that restrictions may be strict but they are necessary to protect people’s health and save lives.
“Is there anything more valuable than health? No one is happy with the decisions we have to make, but they are the result of everyone’s behavior. If we don’t follow recommendation, if we refuse to wear protective masks, if we group and gather at events which surely lead to spreading the virus, then it comes to a given point when authorities must act,” Spasovski told reporters.
The curfew should be adopted at today’s government session, but it is certain that it will be adopted and will take be enforced starting Wednesday.
