Gjorche Petrov Municipality Mayor Aleksandar Stojkoski signed today a public-private partnership agreement for the installation of a rooftop photovoltaic power plant with a total capacity of 2.1 megawatts, which will be installed on the roofs of primary schools on the territory of the municipality.
With the implementation of this project, the Municipality of Gjorche Petrov will receive the largest rooftop photovoltaic power plant on public buildings in the Republic of Macedonia, thus making a significant step towards energy independence and the use of renewable energy sources.
The project is being implemented without financial implications on the municipal budget, and according to the envisaged parameters, the municipality will generate at least six million denars in annual revenue, which will enable additional investments in infrastructure, education and projects in the interest of citizens.
The installation of photovoltaic systems will contribute to reducing electricity costs, increasing energy efficiency and significantly protecting the environment through the production of clean energy.
