Bishops of the Macedonian Orthodox Chuirch-Ohrid Archbishopric led a prayer on Monday in the Kochani-based Revolution Park for the 63 victims of the nightclub fire that devastated the town on this day a year ago.

The prayer was attended by the victims’ families, a large number of citizens, as well as Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and many representatives from the political, academic and social community.

Kochani’s Revolution Park was filled with loud silence Monday, and sixty-three white chairs arranged in the open air with a white rose on them as a memorial and an open book of condolences – they were a silent testimony to the lives interrupted in the most beautiful years.

The central commemorative event “Remembrance Day – March 16, 2025” in memory of those lost in the tragic fire is underway at Kochani’s Culture Center “Beli Mugri”.
