37 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths registered in Macedonia

Of the 3,108 people tested for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 37 received a positive result, the Ministry of Health said in a press release Tuesday.

Of the new Covid-19 cases, 15 were diagnosed in Skopje. New cases were also recorded in Kumanovo – 5, Prilep – 3, Tetovo, Gostivar, Kavadarci, Ohrid and Kichevo – 2 cases each, Bitola, Strumica, Negotino and Radovish – 1 case each.

In the past 24 hours, 90 people recovered from the virus, and 10 people died: three in Skopje (aged 70, 65, and 56), two in Kumanovo (aged 69 and 57), and one patient each in Tetovo (aged 68), Veles (aged 80), Kochani (aged 71), Debar (aged 57) and Krushevo (aged 67). All of them died in hospital.

Since the onset of the epidemic, Macedonia has performed a total of 799,265 tests, recording 155,304 Covid-19 cases and 148,798 recoveries. The death toll has reached 5,423 At the moment, 1,083 cases are active nationwide.
