We clearly said before the elections that we do not have the votes of the citizens. The votes are theirs. It is not up to us to urge them to vote for anyone. This will not shake the governing coalition, said DOM leader Maja Morachanin in a TV political show.
“We have made it clear that we remain part of the governing coalition. We and our three MPs with the LDP are not part of any restructuring of the parliamentary majority and that is speculation. We clearly heard the message and the criticism from the citizens. It shows that we were right when we said that we must make changes because the citizens demand it. Each political party is a separate political entity and it is normal for everyone to go to the polls alone. We have our own program and people who will implement that program and that is why we came out together with the LDP as a movement and not with SDSM. We are satisfied with the achieved results, 26 thousand votes for our mayoral candidates is not a bad result,” says Morachanin.
