Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, within the Munich Security Conference, addressed the panel this morning: “Emptiness in the heart of Europe? Back to the Balkans.”
According to the Foreign Ministry, the discussions were aimed at reaffirming the European Union’s approach to the Western Balkans as a strategic and credible partner for Europe, with Osmani referring to North Macedonia’s efforts for European Union integration.
“Any failure to maintain the European trajectory of the Western Balkans can have dramatic consequences for the countries of the region and the EU, including in terms of security and migration. Our countries should continue to make progress in terms of reconciliation and settlement of bilateral disputes, in a European spirit,” Osmani said.
