Vaccination is the best protection against serious infectious diseases, but also one of the most successful and cost-effective investments in public health, and doctors have a key role to play in expanding vaccine coverage, said the Medical Chamber on the occasion of World Immunization Week, whose this year’s motto is “Long life to all”.
“Due to the pandemic and the intensified anti-vaccination movement, we have a decline in the scope of regular vaccination, especially with the MMR vaccine in our country, which requires joint efforts to restore the necessary coverage of 95 percent, which is considered a satisfactory level of collective protection,” reads the press release.
