The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) realized the announced general strike in the public sector demanding a linear increase of salaries by 2,806 denars and return of the right to recourse to annual leave.

The SSM placed 120 empty seats in front of the Parliament on Wednesday, wanting to remind the MPs to accept the amendment that requires in the supplementary budget to be allocated funds for the linear salary increase, and today announced that it will place 21 seats in front of the Government.

The strike will take place every day from 10 am to 11 am, so that the employees in the public sector in that period will interrupt the work process and will go out, and only ten percent of them will work where it is needed for emergencies.
