The leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski responded to SDSM’s accusations that in the midst of a crisis, on his order, the MPs of the coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE blocked a 100 million euro loan law to deal with the energy crisis.
“Shutdown of TPP Oslomej by the end of 2023, shutdown of REK Bitola by the end of 2027 and commissioning of new ESM capacity or in private partnership with a private investor by the end of 2025 with an installed capacity of 210 MW (that means in 3 years to designed, built and put into use a capacity that today no one sees, and that no one has heard of in the past 5 years of the SDSM/DUI government). We are blocking it, to save 4000 direct jobs and at least twice as many indirect jobs. We are blocking in order to save the pillar of Macedonia’s sovereignty, REK Bitola from closing. We are continuing with the active blockade to save Macedonia and its citizens,” Mickoski said in a Facebook post on Sunday.
