“The Croatian preamble says that the Croatian state is the national state of the Croatian people and minorities, but none of these minorities deny the Croats as a people. We have a problem here.”
This is how the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, commented on VMRO-DPMNE’s proposal for constitutional amendments.
“Second, it is delicate and affects our inter-ethnic relations at home, and we saw what reactions there were from several Albanian parties,” Dimitrov added.
