The Air Force Wing was marked Unit Day June 10 with a solemn military ceremony at the “StrashoPindzhur” barracks in Petrovec, where the celebration was enriched with flyovers of helicopters from the Army as well as a flyover of F-16 aircraft from the Hellenic Air Force and Eurofighter Typhoon from Italy.

Unit Day is symbolically associated with the first military flight in the history of the Army in 1992 and represents an institutional mark of the Air Force.

The event also saw the ceremonial handover of the first combat flag of the Air Surveillance and Reporting Battalion, with Chief of General Staff Lafchiski handing the flag to the battalion commander, evaluating the act as a symbol of trust and responsibility.

Additionally, U.S. Defense Attaché Colonel Daniel Squires presented Commander Pavlovski with a certificate of recognition from the U.S. Air Force.
