The Ministry of Interior for this and all other cases took all the actions that are within its jurisdiction, that is, first it acted in the direction of talking with the victim and her parent, then all those involved in the case were summoned, both those who have directly committed violence against the victim, and those who witnessed the event, as well as those who documented, or filmed the event.

Those children were summoned, as well as their parents. The public prosecutor was notified, a competent doctor confirmed the health examinations of the victim, and during today, in consultation with the competent public prosecutor, criminal charges will be filed against some of those who attended the event, against those who meet the legal requirements for the same, but also against the parents, Macedonian Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski said Thursday in Strumica while attending the promotion of “Premises arranged for talking with children who are in conflict with the law” at the Sector for Interior.

According to the minister, they will be charged with violence, as well as harassment and neglect of a minor.

“With this, we will do our job as the Ministry of Interior, as we have done in other cases in the past, but obviously what the Ministry is doing is not enough, that is, the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Court should act further and all of this should be appropriately shared with the public and through the media, all those who dare to commit such violence again in the future should be informed that there will be sanctions for all of them, that their parents will be sanctioned and that this country will not allow this type of heinous violence that the Macedonian people and Macedonian citizens had the opportunity to witness yesterday,” Minister Toshkovski stressed.
