Finance Ministry: Additional EUR 2.9 million for investments of domestic companies

Macedonian Ministry of Finance has transferred a new transfer in the amount of MKD 176.5 million (EUR 2.9 million) from the central budget to the Development Bank to support investment projects in domestic companies

Macedonian Ministry of Finance has transferred a new transfer in the amount of MKD 176.5 million (EUR 2.9 million) from the central budget to the Development Bank to support investment projects in domestic companies.

With this transfer, the total support of the Government to domestic companies reached MKD 14.7 billion or EUR 239 million, which is a significant incentive for the realization of private investments and a boost to the economy. A total of EUR 250 million are planned in the budget for this purpose.

The funds provided in the budget, which are placed through the Development Bank and the network of domestic commercial banks to the end users – domestic companies, were provided by the Government from the Hungarian Export-Import Bank in order to stimulate an investment cycle in the private sector.

The funds of the companies are placed on favorable terms with an interest rate of 1.95% and a repayment term of up to 15 years with a grace period of up to 3 years.
