Tuesday and Wednesday (August 18 and August 19, 2026) is the first application deadline for candidates for studies at the Skopje University Sts. Cyril and Methodius – UKIM. A total of 8,851 places are available for future students at the 23 faculties of the oldest and largest university in the country in the academic year 2026/2027, which will begin on October 1.
According to the UKIM competition, of the total number of available places, 4,395 are for students in the state quota (full-time students who are financed from the state budget), 3,621 for full-time students who pay tuition fees, i.e. co-finance their studies, and 835 for part-time students.
The largest number of students (over 500) in various study programs will be admitted to the Faculty of Medicine (950 places), FINKI (800), FEIT and Mechanical Engineering 600 each, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (626), the Faculty of Economics 655, the Faculty of Law 555, the Faculty of Philosophy 635 and the Faculty of Philology 805.
Students in the state quota are enrolled by paying a fee for their studies, in the amount of 200 euros in denar equivalent, students in the co-financing quota and part-time students pay a tuition fee of EUR 400.
The first deadline for applying for studies at the UKIM is August 18 and 19. The final ranking list will be published on August 27, and the enrollment of admitted candidates will be on September 3 and September 4.
The second deadline for applying at the UKIM will be on September 10 and 11, and the third on September 23 at the faculties where there will be vacancies.
