A total of 10 wildfires have been registered by 1 pm, of which five are active, two are under control and three are extinguished, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Monday.
Active fires were registered in the following areas: Municipality of Studenichani: village of Morane, village of Vrtekica and village of Ramni Gaber where mixed forest is burning, in Municipality of Makedonski Brod near village Vidush, near village Dragov Dol and near village Lokvica, low vegetation, low-stemmed forest and shrubs caught on fire. In Municipality of Veles near village S’lp, village Gorno Selo with expansion towards village Karabunjishte and villages Dobrino and Tisovica in Municipality of Zelenikovo, where low vegetation, oak and hornbeam forest and quality oak forest are burning. Then in the Municipalities of Jegunovce, Zhelino and Saraj: the villages of Kopance and Tudence (Municipality of Jegunovce), the village of Cerovo (Municipality of Zhelino), with expansion to the village of Bojane (Municipality of Saraj) (mixed forest) and in the Municipality of Shtip in the settlement of Balkanska where low vegetation is burning.
The fires in the Municipality of Kratovo near the village of Zheleznica (landfill) and in the Municipality of Delchevo at the local landfill are under control.
Extinguished fires (3): Municipality of Kumanovo: village of Tabanovce – municipal district of Slanishte (low vegetation), Municipality of Krushevo 1: village of Aldanci and village of Norovo (low vegetation and low-stemmed degraded oak forest) and in the Municipality of Krushevo 2: village of Borino and village of Zhitoshe (low vegetation and degraded oak forest).
